Si comunica che la deadline per l'iscrizione con presentazione di abstract al XIII congresso FISV di Pisa, 24-27 settembre è stata spostata al 1° luglio 2014
È online il sito del XIII° congresso della Federazione Italiana Scienze della Vita che si terrà a Pisa dal 24 al 27 settembre 2014The XIII Congress of the Italian Federation of Life Sciences (FISV) will take place from 24th to 27th September 2014 in Pisa at Palazzo dei Congressi. Like in the past Congress, held at the University Sapienza in Rome, our choice is for an easy, accessible and attractive venue in Italy and for keeping the expenses as low as possible. We believe that, by doing so, the trend of attracting many participants, especially young scientist, will continue. The participation of young scientists was the key of the success of the Sapienza Meeting, where we gathered almost 800 attendees.
FISV is constituted by fifteen Scientific Societies (totalizing more than 9000 researchers) dealing with different areas of biological and biomedical research. Last year the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB) joined the Federation and will contribute, with its participation, to the success of the Congress.
The Federation is, therefore, not only numerically but also culturally richer than in the past and will continue, with increased vigor, to promote the development of the scientific research and knowledge of life sciences. All the Societies have contributed to organize the Congress in Pisa, which will be centered on original and stimulating aspects of common interest. The Congress will deal with internationally emerging issues, offering original contributions from some of the best Italian and foreign laboratories.
The meeting, already in its thirteenth edition, continues to offer a forum to Italian and international scientists who carry out research at the highest scientific level. Specific topics are chosen among the emerging subjects in life sciences. There will be 4 keynote lectures and 3 plenary symposia, conformed of four 30' lecture each one.
Additionally there will be 6 parallel symposia organized by the different Societies, individually or by more than one together. The posters will be presented in two poster sessions of 2,5 hours each where contributions will be chosen for mini-lectures.
Finally, it will be organized an evening event of divulgation character on a hot topic with a potential social impact where the press will be specially invited. The conference foresees to involve, in total, at least 15 foreign speakers and 25 Italian.
With best wishes,
Il Presidente della FISV
Prof. Felice Cervone
