Post doc or as research assistant position on gene editing in Myotonic Dystrophy type 1

A full-time position as post doc or as research assistant for 30 months is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Cardiology at Policlinico San Donato-IRCCS, Milan, Italy. The position is linked to a Telethon grant titled “Gene editing in Myotonic Dystrophy type 1: assessment of efficiency, safety and therapeutic effect of CTG-repeat deletion in a mouse model of disease” (https://www.telethon.it/en/what-we-do/research/projects-funded/gene-editing-in-myotonic-dystrophy-type-1-assessment-of-efficiency-safety-and-therapeutic-effect-of-ctg-repeat-deletion-in-a-mouse-model-of-disease).
Experience in molecular and cellular biology is required. Expertise in genome editing, transcriptomic analysis and single-cell RNA-sequencing is highly appreciated. Experience with myogenic cell cultures is also very useful. No mouse handling skills are necessary for the project.
Both post-doctoral fellows and research assistant candidates should have an advanced level of independence and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the indicated topics. Post-doctoral fellows should also have at least 1 publication as first author in peer reviewed international journal. Good Italian and English language skills are a plus.
